They trusted us
I just received a pendant today.
I stumbled upon the site by chance, and chance works out perfectly.
I am delighted with the aesthetics of the pendant, and with the accuracy of the photo in relation to the final result.
Following the online order without direct contact, I was contacted by email and a note was slipped into the package making this transaction more human.
I am now eagerly awaiting my wife's reaction.
THANKS
I discovered the jewelry from the Vézanne workshop at the Arts and Flavors of Exceptional Crafts Fair in Angers. They are simply unique, sublime pieces, each with a beautiful story and exquisite craftsmanship. The artist has a keen eye for spotting the little landscapes, the details that make each piece truly unique. I was completely captivated and treated myself.
Thank you also for the warm welcome and personalized advice which helped me make my choice!

Discovered today at Galeries Lafayette in Orléans, the Vézanne artistic creations are extraordinary...
A subtle re-creation, which combines the art of earthenware translated into an ancient object (the plate) called to a second life, the drawing of an ancient painter on this object, the art of a contemporary creator and her current artistic vision.
It's original, heritage-based, fresh and imaginative.
Bravo for the idea, the taste and the execution... we love it!
Arnaud B.
A unique and personalized piece of jewelry made from my grandmother's plate. The craftsman listened to my needs, and the necklace was perfectly adjusted to my size. I'm thrilled with the gift I received!
Géraldine Derouard
I ordered a custom bracelet as a gift. I corresponded by email and then phone with the artisan, Clélia Chotard, who was both warm and very professional. She clearly explained the materials and the craftsmanship of the piece. The shipping went very smoothly, and the recipient loved the bracelet. Thank you!

Vézanne
An exceptional piece of jewelry
Motifs taken from sometimes very old earthenware for compositions between figuration and abstraction.
Unique jewelry for art and earthenware lovers. Sumptuous motifs, sometimes cracked and patinated, that speak volumes about their history.
By carefully examining these details, one can imagine the era in which these earthenware pieces were crafted, the expert hands that brought them to life, in an artistic process that was both rigorous and aesthetic.
These exceptional jewels are a tribute to the talent of yesteryear in the field of ceramics, an authentic expression that transcends eras and appeals to lovers and collectors of beautiful objects.
Vézanne Workshop
know-how
A Vézanne jewel involves no fewer than twenty manufacturing steps. A former potter and passionate about history and art, Clélia is dedicated to crafting each piece entirely by hand, with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to perfection. Her dedication to artisanal heritage is reflected in every piece she designs and creates. She is proud to share her story with you.

The starting point
Within the Vézanne workshop, all the creations
born from a passion for antique earthenware.
Clélia, an artist who graduated from the fine arts school, initially had an artistic approach centered around painting and worked for several years in an art pottery factory in Malicorne-sur-Sarthe.
Today, with her aesthetic eye and her craftsmanship, she initiates each project by valuing the authenticity of the pieces while giving them a resolutely contemporary dimension.
Each piece of jewelry, designed and handcrafted in her workshop in France, illustrates the art of upcycling, thus offering unique, high-quality pieces.

The composition
An essential step in the creation of jewelry is composition.
Clélia looks at the antique earthenware, observing every detail. Like a photographer, she zooms in on certain scenes and sees the patterns take on a new form. They speak for themselves.
This is the time of creation that she particularly cherishes! Suspended moments. She rediscovers the emotion of standing before her canvas, her palette of colors in hand, watching the patterns come to life.

Cutting and finishing the earthenware
Cutting and finishing earthenware requires great precision and delicacy. Earthenware, by its very nature fragile, with a glaze fired at very high temperatures, demands particular attention. This is why Clélia begins by carefully cutting the design, then meticulously sands the piece of earthenware to perfect the finish.
This meticulous task reflects the expertise and know-how acquired after many hours of research. Every step is executed with care to ensure the quality of the final result.

The manufacturing of the supports
In her workshop, Clélia devotes particular attention to the manufacture of the supports and the brazing of the rings to enhance and protect the earthenware.
To elegantly and sturdily support the ceramics, she begins by using a French brass plate specially designed for jewelers, guaranteed nickel- and lead-free. This high-quality raw material is annealed and shaped to create unique supports, tailored to each piece of earthenware.
Each step of the process is carried out with care and expertise. Once the bases are prepared, Clélia makes small brass rings herself, which she then silver-solders. This meticulous soldering ensures not only the rings' strength but also their aesthetic appeal, adding a distinctive, handcrafted touch to her creations.
The attention to detail, from the choice of materials to the manufacturing technique, reflects the Vézanne workshop's commitment to the quality and durability of its creations. Its expertise results in unique pieces that blend tradition and modernity, offering earthenware a framework that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Polishing
Often undervalued, the polishing stage is nevertheless crucial to giving the jewelry maximum shine.
Before polishing, Clélia emery-brushes, removes any possible fire stains caused by brazing and removes excess brazing.
Then comes the polishing stage, a step that requires great care and delicacy. The supports become shiny, without any marks, and go through a final bath before being sent to the plater.

The final result
The bases, plated with 23.5-karat gold or 99.99 silver by a company certified as a Living Heritage Company in France, become the mounts for the carefully prepared earthenware motifs. True precious jewels, Clélia is passionate about sublimating the past with her contemporary artist/craftswoman's eye. From her hands are born "small wearable paintings filled with poetry."
"Yesterday's earthenware becomes today's jewel." Clélia Chotard
